THE NLC STORYThe church started in Halifax in February 2014. The founding and current pastors are John and Catherine Warren. In 2017 we started the congregations in Todmorden and Brighouse.
Our dream is to be a community of love that maintains a strong and effective presence in our current locations, and that reproduces itself across the towns of the north of England. There is an enormous need for churches that are fearless in making Christ known, and have the ability to stand the test of time. But our dream does not end in the UK. From before the church was even started we felt particularly called to be involved in charity works in Eastern Europe, especially in the nation of Moldova. Since 2015 we have done numerous trips to Moldova and the surrounding nations, and have developed excellent partnerships with churches and charities over there. If we are blessed as a church then it is for one purpose - to be a blessing. We are committed to being a blessing in Eastern Europe, and we want to take large teams with us. The church is part of an Australian based Pentecostal denomination - CRC Churches International. The CRC is similar in theology and culture to movements such as the Assemblies of God and the Elim Church in the UK. The CRC most strongly values helping people to become Christians, starting new churches and taking the Christian message to all the nations. We are also members of the Evangelical Alliance here in the UK.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Jesus |
